Kate Audette
Kathryn “Kate” Audette currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In this role she provides thought leadership and grassroots mobilization in solidarity with impacted constituencies to advance policy reforms that address intersectional, systemic, inequities that influence one’s ability to prevent, diagnose, treat, and survive a cancer diagnosis. Kate does this by centering the voices of patients, families, caregivers, and providers – especially those form historically and contemporarily excluded and exploited communities - in advocacy campaigns for the Legislative Action Network (LAN).
Prior to this role Kate served for seven years as the Director of State Government Relations at Boston Children's Hospital where she provided strategic oversight and leadership of the hospital's state policy advocacy agenda on child health priorities.
A results driven, government relations professional with a demonstrated history of working in the health care industry, Kate is skilled in policy practice, grassroots organizing and process improvement. A social worker by training, Kate has a deep commitment to community, equity and educating the next generation of social workers.
