Jennifer Stewart, PhD, RN
Dr. Jennifer Stewart is a strategist, consultant, women’s health researcher, coach, author and speaker. She is the CEO of Restore Development and Consulting which has the primary mission to restore vitality to congregations and faith-based organizations through services that promote individual and corporate development, growth, and health. Dr. Stewart held an academic appointment as an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University. During her tenure she secured over 1.2 million dollars of grant funding to support work focused on the development and implementation of multilevel programs for African American churches in Chicago, Baltimore and Philadelphia targeting the maternal and sexual health needs of women.
Dr. Stewart has published numerous articles and curriculums devoted to the promotion of African American congregational health. With over a decade of experience in HIV risk reduction, maternal health, and health equity, Dr. Stewart has relentlessly pursued addressing and ameliorating health disparities through community based and partnered research and work. In addition to her tenure at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Stewart is also a Registered Nurse with experience in women’s and children’s health, obstetrics, and medical surgical nursing. She remains a committed advocate for women’s health needs in her community in Philadelphia, PA.
